I can’t believe the holidays are right around the corner. With the change in season, it is important to maintain our skin and keep it clear and glowing for the holidays. If you follow my blog, you know that I use Image Skincare Products. Image Skincare is a professional, clinically-tested skin care line developed by physicians.
I know it can be confusing thinking of gift ideas for Christmas. This year, Image Skincare will have three cute gift sets with different product collections for various skin types. Each set will make a wonderful gift that will be available until the end of the year. GOOD NEWS, all the products in each of these collections will be available for individual purchase after the holidays.
WHY IMAGE SKINCARE?
Image skincare states their products are “pharmaceutical grade, plant-derived active ingredients that work at the cellular level.” IMAGE skincare line is also formulated with natural skincare ingredients to help improve the health of your skin. Another benefit of this line is that their ingredients are paraben free, GMO free, fragrance free, hypoallergenic.
IMAGE’s Gift Set The Collection I am going to be reviewing today is “The Age Defying Essentials Set”
The design of this box is in partnership with artist Carolyn Gavin. IMAGE believes your skin is a blank canvas “enhanced through the artistry and expertise of the esthetician.” Estheticians are trained to improve the overall health and appearance of the skin. With the proper skincare habits and products, one can achieve healthier skin and barrier. As a bonus, your makeup will go on easier and blend smoother!
The gift set I am going to review today is “Image Age-Defying Essentials.” This set consists of an anti-aging cleanser, hyaluronic acid serum, and a sunscreen with HEV (Blue Light Protection). According to Image, this set is “designed for all skin types, especially dull skin, visible signs of aging, fine lines and wrinkles.”
This cleanser is formulated with peptides to help minimize the appearance of aging and dull skin. Imageskincare.com states this cleanser consists of “carefully selected botanicals that nourish the skin and work to protect it against the daily onslaught of environmental pollutants.”
It is important to protect our skin not only from UV damage, but also everyday environmental stressors that can form. Environmental factors can include: an unhealthy diet, lack of exfoliation, or improper skincare habits.
My thoughts on this cleanser: I like that this cleanser is gentle enough to use on all skin types. My skin is sensitive, and this cleanser helps to calm my skin. Many cleansers leave my skin feeling dry afterwards, this cleanser does not.

If you are searching for a pure hyaluronic acid serum, this is ideal! It consists of an active concentration of hyaluronic acid to help smooth and plump the skin. Image developed this serum to be “a topical hydration filler with six forms of time-released and cross-linked hyaluronic acid” to maximaize its effect.
My thoughts on this serum: I love how easily it absorbs into my skin. I use this HA serum prior to using Tretinoin (a retinoid) to not only help minimize skin irritation from the active, but also to hydrate my combination skin. You can use this serum under a moisturizer or mix in a few drops in your favorite moisturizer.

Not only does it offer UVA and UVB protection, but it also provides blue light protection from digital devices. This sunscreen not only consists of zinc oxide, but it’s antioxidant blend helps shield against the effects of environmental skin stressors (imageskincare.com).
My thoughts on this sunscreen: Since my skin can be sensitive at times, I like to use a non-greasy sunscreen that won’t clog my pores. This sunscreen goes on creamy but doesn’t leave my skin shiny. Not only do I like that this sunscreen is lightweight, it also hyrating as well. With my business being virtual, I spend a lot of time on my electronic devices than ever before and this sunscreen is beneficial in helping to protect my skin from hyperpigmentation caused by blue light damage.

Why should my SPF have blue light protection?
Have you ever heard of blue light damage? Blue light protection helps protect against free radical damage that can be caused from blue light. Blue light can be transmitted from digital devices such as electronics, cell phones or computers. Skinsolutionsderm.com states, “This is important to be conscious of because HEV light exposure can lead to many health issues like inflammation, impaired healing, melanogenesis, skin sensitivity, dryness, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, uneven texture, and more.” Image’s Daily Ultimate Moisturizer SPF 50 was specifically designed to help combat everyday UV damage, including blue light damage. Count me in!
Since I believe in IMAGE Skincare products, I want you to try them out for yourself. Happy shopping and hope you enjoy the holidays!

Another collection I like from Image Skincare is THE ORMEDIC COLLECTION.
I have been using The ORMEDIC Collection since March 2020. I notice a difference in the overall appearance and tone of my skin. Their products blend smoothly, and can be used all year around. I have tried both their Vital-C and ORMEDIC Collection, and I mix and match products from both collections.
Their VITAL-C Collection is “formulated for dry, sensitive, and redness-prone skin.” Meanwhile, their ORMEDIC Collection is great for dehydrated skin since it is created with antioxidants to helps calm and balance skin barrier. If you want to read more about my review on both Image Skincare’s Vital C and Ormedic Collections, read my article HERE.
