Stress is inevitable in life and sometimes cannot be avoided. Excessive stress can cause dullness, aging and acne to the skin. Therefore, I want to share 8 tips you  practice to help maintain your glow during stressful times.  

8 tips you  practice to help maintain your glow during stressful times.  

1. Apply SPF 30 daily whether you’re inside or outside

First, make sure you apply SPF 30 daily whether you’re inside or outside. Did you know that UV rays can still travel through windows? Or that blue light emitted from your phones can cause hyper pigmentation? It is important to wear sunscreen daily to help combat free radical damage to your skin which can happen whether its sunny, cloudy or you are inside.

2. Get your beauty sleep

Second, get your beauty sleep. It is recommended to get at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep so the skin can repair itself during the night. When you are asleep, stress levels are lowered which allows your skin cells to shed and fight inflammation.

3. Eat your superfoods

Third, make sure you take your vitamins and eat healthy. It is important to eat lots of fruits and vegetables as they contain lots of vitamins and meet minerals that are essential for skin health. Taking vitamins daily also will help add important sources of omega fatty acids, biotin and vitamin A to your skin.

4. Maintain a skincare routine

Fourth, it is imperative to maintain a skin care routine. You must be consistent and never skip applying your skin care products daily or else you will notice a negative difference in your skin. Skipping your skincare routine will just delay results of your products and may cause breakouts if you suffer from acne. Persistence is key when it comes to skincare.

 5. Apply a brightening serum often

Fifth, apply a brightening serum that is rich in antioxidants such as vitamin C. Serums do a great job of preventing sunspots. Serums consist of tiny molecules in comparison to moisturizers. 6. Massage your face

7. Stay hydrated

Seventh stay hydrated. Drink lots of fluids such as water or green tea to help flush flush toxins out of your skin. Green tea is an antioxidant that helps prevent free radical damage. By drinking green tea regularly, it will help control oil production which can be helpful if you have oily/acne-prone skin. 

8. Exercise at least 3x per week 

Eighth, exercise at least 3x per week to help keep your skin healthy and glowing. Exercise helps build up your immune system. Not only that, but it helps flush out toxins from skin. Yoga is one of the best ways to relax and calm the body.
