Step by step guide on how to apply lashes like a PRO!
Have you ever wondered how the pros apply false lashes so perfectly? We all want to know how to apply falsies. It is an essential in our makeup kit for those times we want to look glamorous and fancy! The problem is, it’s not always so simple to apply them. Every now and then I had clients tell me their horror stories of how they would get glue stuck to their lashes, poke themselves with tweezers, or even have lashes fall off right after applying them! It really isn’t as difficult as it may seem, and I am here to walk you step by step on how I apply false lashes.
Step 1: Measure the strip against your actual eyelid and trim off the excess (Measure the strip against your actual eyelid and trim off the excess (to your desired length preference). The length shouldn’t be too long or uncomfortable.
Step 2: Trim the band so that it adjusts to your lash line. Trim the longest part of the lashes, typically the outer corner of the lash. Use the tip of your scissors to adjust the length.
Step 3: Bend the outer corners of the lash strip to create a C shape and hold for a couple of seconds.
Step 4: Apply a thin layer of glue and wait about 30 seconds. My absolute favorite inexpensive lash glue is by NYX HERE.
The tackier the glue gets, the better the lash will stick.
Step 5: Use a lash curler to curl your lashes.
Step 6: Place the false lash as close as possible to your natural lash line as possible using tweezers, starting from the center, then from the inner and outer corners.
Step 7: Add your favorite mascara to your falsies to further enhance the dramatic effect of your lashes!
Step 8: Once the glue is completely dry, use black eyeliner to fill the gaps between the lashes and your natural lashes.
